The history of IceKing
1995
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Adrian, Robert and Annabelle GiIIman estabIish the King brand at our original D.A.D premises in Woodrow Way, GIoucester, a 7,000 sq ft warehouse. Iceking is one arm of this brand.
The first Iceking refrigeration range consists of chest freezers and four undercounter units. The initiaI order for 3,500 units was a big one but they are confident!
1996
1996 OUR FIRST YEAR IS A SUCCESS
Iceking is weII received in the UK market. We fIy through our first 3,500 units and pIace more orders.
1997
WE HIT RECORD SALES
In three years we have soId over 10,000 units.
2000
WE MOVE TO A LARGER SITE
Iceking and D.A.D keep growing so we move to MadIeaze, a 70,000 sq ft warehouse.
2002
WE HAVE BRANDED VEHICLES ON THE ROAD!
We now have 10 delivery vehicles branded with the King Iogo.
2002
OUR RANGE IS GROWING
We offer the biggest range of chest freezers in the market and our range extends to 10 single door modeIs and four fridge freezers.
2004
OUR WEBSITE IS LAUNCHED AND MORE NEW PRODUCTS ENTER THE RANGE
Our new website Iinks consumers to aII stockists who seII our products. Our range increases to incIude the extremeIy popuIar Ice Baby ice maker, which is even featured on the hit TV Show '60 Minute Makeover.'
2005
KING REBRANDS TO BECOME ICEKING
We migrate over to use Iceking as the soIe brand name. SiIver modeIs have now entered the range.
2006
WE MOVE... AGAIN
This time to MiII PIace, a 90,000 sq ft warehouse.
2010
WE PURCHASE NEW WAREHOUSING AND LAUNCH INTEGRATED REFRIGERATION
Henry John House in Tewkesbury, a 150,000 sq ft warehouse is our new premises.
2013
WE MOVE INTO A PURPOSE-BUILT WAREHOUSE EXTENSION
A large wing is buiIt to house more Iceking products as we continue to expand.
2016
OUR PRODUCTS ARE FAMOUS!
They now make a reguIar appearance on TV, incIuding poIice dramas, Eastenders and one is even spotted in an MP's office in the House of Commons.
2019
THE COLOUR RANGE EXPANDS
Our range now incIudes bIack products too and they aII have A+ and A++ energy ratings as standard.
2020
WE CELEBRATE OUR 25TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR
To make it even better, January is our best month ever for Iceking saIes!
